Southern Writers Onstage: Women – Black and White series
This series of readings/performances tells the story of the Southern American woman – black and white – through the writings of Southern American women. Actors Brenda Bynum and Eric Moore present Eudora Welty’s “Powerhouse,” the story of a great jazzman playing at a white dance in Alligator, Mississippi. Southern Writers Onstage was developed by Dr. Pearl McHaney of Georgia State University.
